Who is Andreas?

In 2014, after much consideration, I made the decision to pursue the field of Law and thus I was accepted by the University of Nicosia, in 2018 I completed the program and I was awarded the Degree of Law Bachelor (LLB).

My determination as well as my will, however, pushed me to the decision to follow the Master’s path and to specialize as much as possible.

So, from 2018 to 2020 I completed my Master’s Degree at the University of Nicosia in European Law and Human Rights (LLM).

During these years of my studies, I realize my interest and inclination in the field of Research and Criminal Law, something that my professors also point out to me.

After much thought I decided to submit my Research Proposal at the European University of Cyprus. After evaluation and interviews by the committee of Chancellors and other Criminologists I was selected to follow the PhD program. So, in 2020 I was awarded the position of Doctoral Candidate.

After the successful completion of my Ph.D. thesis, I was awarded the title of Doctor in Criminal Law and Criminology in 2024.

Throughout my career I have taken part in several conferences, committees and I have written several researches and articles related to Legal Science and Law, you can refer to my CV where they are presented in detail.

In the meantime, I have worked at the Law Office of the Republic (Cyprus) in Criminal Cases that mainly concerned the Criminal Court but also in Civil Law Cases.

I am also a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and I have successfully completed the Law Council exams from the first time with a grade of Very Good.

Of course, like every person, apart from the field of knowledge, learning and work, I also have other interests that I like to deal with.

Since I was very young, I have been involved in sports, specifically football. I have been involved professionally until I was 20 years old, playing for and participating in various first and second division teams. But now, due to the limited time and the priorities I have set, I play as an amateur for leisure.

Through sports, I believe that I developed skills and virtues that shaped my character and help me in my professional career.

Sports is a miniature of Society. In other words, to be able to coexist in a locker room and a team with more than 20 people and different characters requires Discipline, Understanding, Patience and Cooperation. In order to earn your place in the team, you need hard work, perseverance and determination. You learn to Respect and Compete within healthy manners. All that I mentioned above characterizes me as a Human being and is my Guide line for the future.

My motto for life is the famous ‘Well done is better than Well said’.”
